Apricot Tortoni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. toasted chopped almonds
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 c. fine vanilla wafer crumbs
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Combine ingredients.
    Press half of crumbs into 8 x 10-inch pan.
    Spread half of 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt over crumbs.
    Cover ice cream with 12 ounce jar of apricot jam. Top jam with remaining ice cream and then remaining crumbs. Freeze.
