Grandma Whitworth'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. applesauce
5 tsp. soda
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix and set aside the applesauce and soda.
Cream together the butter, eggs and sugar.
Add alternately a mixture of flour, cinnamon, cloves and cocoa.
Add raisins, nuts and vanilla.
Pour into angel food cake pan and bake at 300\u00b0 for about an hour or until done.
This cake is better if it sets for awhile.
