Hominy Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
    1/4 c. milk
    1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies
    3 (15 oz. each) cans golden hominy, drained
Preparation
    In a small skillet, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender. Remove from heat.
    In a bowl, combine onion mixture, sour cream, half of the cheese, milk and chilies.
    Add hominy; mix well.
    Pour into a greased 2-quart baking dish.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until heated through.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Serve immediately.
    Yield:
    8 to 10 servings.
