Shirley'S Hamburger Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    2 small onions
    6 potatoes
    salt to taste
    1 can tomato soup
    1 green bell pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Brown hamburger; set aside.
    Slice potatoes and arrange in layers with onions.
    Salt layers.
    Put meat on top.
    Pour tomato soup over entire casserole. Place peppers on top.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    (If you are in a hurry, you can reduce your baking time to about 20 minutes by boiling potatoes and onions for a few minutes before putting in casserole.)
    Use a 1 1/2-quart size casserole dish. Serves 4 to 6.
