Jewel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 lb. white sugar
    3/4 lb. white corn syrup
    1/2 lb. water (1 c.)
    1 tsp. flavoring (must be oil flavoring)
    coloring to suit your taste
Preparation
    Measure white sugar, corn syrup and water on scale (3 pounds). Mix together in saucepan and boil to scant 300\u00b0 (hard-crack stage). Remove from heat and add flavoring and coloring.
