Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced apples
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Slice apples in 1/4-inch slices and place on buttered baking dish.
    Add cinnamon and water.
    Work sugar, flour and butter until crumbly.
    Sprinkle over apples and bake at 340\u00b0 uncovered for about 40 minutes.
    Serve hot with ice cream.
