Currant Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 box currants
    1 egg
    milk
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, Crisco, baking powder and currants.
    Mix like pie dough.
    Beat egg in a cup and fill with milk to measure 1 cup.
    Add to dough; mix and
    knead.
    Flatten to about 1/2-inch and cut with a doughnut cutter or glass.
    Place on prepared cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Check after 12 minutes.
    I like them softer rather than too baked as they tend to firm up after taking out of the oven.
