Frances' Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 stick real butter
    4 c. broken pecans
    1 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put 2 cups of sugar in a heavy iron skillet.
    In a pot, put the other 2 cups of sugar, whipping cream, milk and salt.
    Put both skillet and pot over heat.
    Stir skillet with silver spoon and pot with wooden spoon.
