Gayle'S Chicken Souse - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken cup up into small pieces
    2 limes or 3 sour oranges
    3 bird peppers
    2 medium onions sliced
    3 potatoes cut into cubes
    3 carrots cut up too
    2 Tbsp. Allspice
    1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
    1 Tbsp. fresh basil (or dried tarragon)
Preparation
    Marinate chicken in sour and salt and pepper for 1/2 hour. Pour enough water to barely cover chicken.\tCook for 20 minutes. Add Allspice.
    Add potatoes and carrots.
    Cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are done.
    Just before done, add fresh basil or dried tarragon.
