Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. coconut milk
1 c. coconut
6 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add creamed mixture, milk and coconut milk.
Stir in coconut.
Fold in eggs.
If you want cake to be white, just use egg whites.
Put in greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown.
