Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, cut 1/2-inch thick
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    3/4 c. water
    1 lb. green beans, ends trimmed and cut
    1 Tbsp. snipped fresh dill
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook bacon and onion in a large deep skillet 8 to 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender. Add water and bring to a boil over high heat.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Toss to mix and coat.
    Cook and cover over medium heat, 18 to 22 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are very tender.
    Transfer to casserole or baking dish.
    Makes 6 servings.
