Whipped Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust
3 eggs, separated
3/4 c. sugar, divided
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. strawberries, crushed
2 Tbsp. strawberry juice, heated
4 Tbsp. strawberry flavored gelatin
1/3 c. heavy cream, whipped
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

In a saucepan, combine egg yolks, half the sugar, salt, lemon juice and strawberries.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils.
Remove from heat and add the juice and gelatin.
Chill until partially set.
Beat with hand beater.
Fold in whipped cream.
Beat egg whites with remaining sugar and cream of tartar until stiff.
Fold into strawberry mixture.
Pour into pie crust.
Chill.
Serves 8.
