German Apple Kuchen - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. coconut
    1/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 c. peeled, sliced apples
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (almonds)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 egg yolks
Preparation
    In a small mixer bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, coconut and 1/3 cup sugar.
    Cut in butter (soft) with blender until consistency of oatmeal.
    Stir in egg, milk and vanilla extract. Spread as dough in bottom of buttered 11-inch pie plate.
    Toss apples, raisins, nuts, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon together; then place evenly on top of batter in pie plate.
    In a small bowl, cream together cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Add lemon juice and egg yolks; beat until smooth.
    Pour this topping evenly over apples.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if so desired.
    Makes approximately 10 servings.
