Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large head lettuce
6 slices crisp bacon
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1/4 c. tarragon vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 tsp. sugar
Preparation

Wash lettuce; pat dry and tear up into bite size pieces. Place in a salad bowl.
Break bacon into 1-inch pieces and add to lettuce.
Heat together the remaining ingredients.
Pour over the lettuce,
tossing as you pour.
Serve at once.
Makes 6 servings.
