Brazil Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 c. flour
    1 c. coconut
    1/2 c. candied cherries
    1 c. chopped Brazil nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugars and shortening.
    Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Combine soda, salt and flour together.
    Put coconut, candied cherries and Brazil nuts into the mixture and mix well.
    Add the dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Shape into balls and press with fork on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    to 375\u00b0
    for 20 to 25 minutes.
