Dark Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. softened butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter (at room temperature)
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. walnuts
    1 whole large orange, cut in chunks
Preparation
    Butter and flour a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
    In large bowl of mixer, cream sugar, butter and eggs; add vanilla.
    Stir or sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
    Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk to the creamed mixture, stirring well after each addition.
    In a food processor or grinder, finely grind the raisins, nuts and orange (peel and all). Reserve 2 tablespoons of this mixture for Orange Frosting.
    Add the remaining ground orange mix to cake batter.
    Spread batter in prepared pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center is clean.
    Cool in pan on rack.
