Beer Batter Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    40 oysters
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. beer
    3 or 4 drops red hot sauce
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. coarse pepper
    1/4 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Sift flour and salt into a bowl.
    Mix in pepper.
    Beat the egg and oil together and mix in hot sauce, beer and lemon juice. Gradually add this to the flour.
    Stir well to avoid a lumpy batter.
    Pat oysters dry on paper towel and put 5 or 6 at a time in the batter.
    Coat oysters evenly.
    Take oysters from batter and place in hot oil at 375\u00b0 for about 1 minute or until brown.
    Remove from oil and place on paper towel.
