Croquettes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. ground or chopped, cooked chicken or other meat
    1 c. thick cream sauce (3 to 4 Tbsp. butter, 4 Tbsp. flour and 1 c. milk)
    1 tsp. minced onion
    1 tsp. minced parsley
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. water
    fine, dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Mix meat, cream sauce, onion and parsley.
    Spread in 8-inch square pan.
    Chill until stiff.
    Cut into squares or oblong.
    Coat with flour; roll in egg/water mixture, then in crumbs.
    Allow to dry.
    Fry in deep fat (375\u00b0) until brown, about 3 minutes or panfry in about 1/2 cup hot fat over medium heat.
    Drain on absorbent paper.
