Christmas Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. apple cider vinegar
    1/4 lb. candied red cherries
    1 qt. dill pickles, sliced thin
Preparation
    Dissolve the sugar in vinegar in a saucepan and add the cherries and dill pickles.
    Cook for 1 or 2 minutes, then pack in sterilized jars.
    Seal the jars, process for 5 minutes.
