Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. ginger or 1 tsp. ginger and 1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening, molasses and egg together thoroughly. Sift flour, baking soda and ginger and/or cinnamon.
    Stir gradually into the shortening mixture.
    Roll into small balls with hands.
