Round Steak Sauerbraten - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    1 Tbsp. hot oil
    1 envelope brown gravy mix
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. Worcestershire
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Cut meat into 1-inch squares.
    In a large skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot oil.
    Remove meat from skillet.
    Add gravy mix and water; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Return meat to skillet.
    Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Serve over hot noodles or with mashed potatoes.
    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
