Country Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 pt. whipping cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. milk
Preparation
    Beat eggs with electric mixer at medium speed until frothy. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture becomes thick (about 5 minutes).
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into freezer can of a 1-gallon freezer.
    Freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
    Turn churn off.
    Cover with thick towel and let set 1 hour.
    Yield: 1 gallon.
