Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 scant tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
4 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into large bowl.
Cut in butter (like when you make pie crust).
In smaller bowl, put eggs.
Add milk and vanilla; blend well.
Lastly, add sugar.
Beat until smooth and blended.
Pour into flour mixture; mix.
A little extra flour may be added now if dough isn't thick.
Roll out on floured board and cut in fancy shapes or roll in balls and crisscross with fork. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes.
