Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add the molasses and well beaten egg.
    Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
    Roll into small balls (size of a walnut); dip or roll in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom.
