Chocolate Mousse(Portuguese) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 sq. semi-sweet chocolate
    1/4 c. light or heavy cream or milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    4 egg whites
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. brandy (optional)
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Blend in cream, vanilla and salt. Gradually add to egg yolks, beating with wire whip until thick and creamy. Beat egg whites until foamy throughout. Gradually beat sugar and continue beating until mixture will form stiff peaks. Gently but thoroughly fold into chocolate mixture.
    Spoon into individual dessert dishes or bowl.
    Chill at least 2 hours.
    Makes 4 cups or 8 to 10 servings.
