Savory Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stewing beef, in 1-inch cubes
    1/4 c. oil
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
    3 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    6 medium carrots
    3 medium potatoes
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil in large skillet.
    Add onion, tomatoes, tapioca, broth, garlic, parsley, pepper and bay leaf.
    Bring mixture to boil.
