Grandmother'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Butter, softened
    1 c. Sugar
    1 c. Brown Sugar, packed
    2 Eggs
    1/2 c. Milk
    1 tsp. Vanilla
    2 c. All-Purpose Flour
    1/3 c. Baking Cocoa
    1 tsp. Salt
    1 tsp. Baking Powder
    1 tsp. Baking Soda
    1 c. Boiling Water
    Confectioner's Sugar (optional)
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars.
    Add the eggs, milk and vanilla, beat well.
    Combine the flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
    Add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
    Stir in the water and mix until smooth.
    The batter will be thin.
    Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35-40 minutes, or until cake tests done.
    Cool on a wire rack.
    Dust with confectioner's sugar if desired.
    Serves 12-16.
