Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    dash of garlic powder
    2 medium chopped onions
    1 green pepper, diced
    3 diced carrots
    4 medium cubed potatoes
    1 c. okra (may add)
    2 c. tomatoes or juice
Preparation
    Crumble about a pound of ground beef into a skillet and brown slightly.
    Drain meat and transfer into stew pan.
    Add water, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Cook until almost done.
    Add onions, green pepper, carrots and potatoes.
    (May add 1 cup okra). After vegetables are tender, add 2 cups tomatoes or juice. Simmer 10 minutes and serve with hot cornbread.
