Jiffy Creamed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bread
    3 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    1 (16 oz.) can peas, drained (save liquid)
    boned chicken, cut in pieces and boiled (about 1 lb.)
    1 1/4 c. condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/3 c. reserved liquid
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Grease and set aside 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cube bread and toss in butter; set aside.
    Drain peas, reserving liquid and place in large saucepan.
    Blend in and heat thoroughly chicken, cream of mushroom soup, reserved liquid, salt and pepper.
    Place in casserole and top with buttered bread.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until bread is browned.
