Italian Style Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 to 4 lb.) chicken
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. salt or to taste
    1 tsp. hot or black pepper
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    3 cloves finely chopped garlic
    1 Tbsp. fresh chopped parsley or dried
    1 Tbsp. fresh chopped basil or dried
    1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1/2 c. dry white wine
Preparation
    Cut chicken into serving pieces.
    Sift 1 teaspoon salt and flour to coat chicken.
    Saute chicken in oil until brown.
    Place in covered dish to keep warm.
