Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 lb. round steak
3 Tbsp. fat
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
Preparation

Mix flour, salt and pepper.
Dredge steak with flour.
Pound the flour into both sides of the steak.
In a Dutch oven, heat the fat; brown the steak well on both sides.
Add vegetables; cover and simmer gently for 1 1/2 hours.
