Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/4 lb. fresh okra
    1/2 to 1 c. cornmeal
    vegetable oil
    salt
Preparation
    Wash okra well; drain.
    Cut off tips and stem ends; cut okra crosswise into 1/2-inch slices.
    Roll okra in cornmeal.
    Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
    Drain well on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
