Ileen'S Chicken And Wild Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. uncooked wild rice
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/4 c. diced onion
    1 small carrot, shredded
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1 tsp. Nature's Seasons
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
    4 c. chicken broth
    1 c. cooked chicken, cut up
    1 c. half and half
Preparation
    Wash rice with cold water; drain and cook in 2 cups water until tender (45 minutes).
    Saute celery, onion, green pepper, mushrooms and carrot in butter until tender.
    Add 1/2 cup flour and cook and stir 1 minute.
    Add broth and chicken.
    Bring to a boil and add rice, salt, pepper and Nature's Seasons.
    To serve, heat soup mix and stir in 1 cup half and half.
    Serve hot.
