Surprise Chocolate Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. pkg. chocolate chip bits
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    2 c. heavy cream, whipped
    1 angel food cake
Preparation
    Melt chocolate over hot water.
    Add sugar and egg yolks; mix thoroughly.
    Remove from heat and fold in whipped cream and egg whites.
    Tear angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
    Put layer into buttered pan, using half of cake.
    Cover with layer of chocolate mixture and repeat.
    Place in refrigerator overnight.
