Chess Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. softened butter
    2 beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Use any pie pastry recipe you desire and in muffin pan, mold the bottom and sides with pie pastry. Cream sugar and butter. Add the rest of the ingredients. Fill pastries almost to the top. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes, then lower oven to 350\u00b0 until done.
