Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium cans pineapple chunks (save syrup)
    2 large cans mandarin oranges, drained
    1 small bottle maraschino cherries, drained and cut in half
    1 bunch green grapes (1 lb.) or 1 can fruit cocktail, drained
    3 bananas
    1 pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant)
Preparation
    Make pudding as directed using 1 1/2 cups fruit juice from pineapple.
    Let cool.
    Fold into fruit.
    Add fresh bananas. Refrigerate.
