Oven Beef Burgundy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. boneless beef chuck
8 medium carrots, quartered
1 medium sliced onion
1 medium green pepper, diced
1 (4.5 oz.) jar whole or sliced mushrooms (with juice)
1/4 c. tapioca or 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
3/4 c. Burgundy or other dry wine
Preparation

Preheat oven to 275\u00b0. Cut beef into large cubes and put in roaster; do not brown. Add layers of carrots, onion, green pepper and mushrooms. Mix tapioca, bread crumbs, allspice, salt, pepper, tomatoes and wine together in separate bowl and pour over beef. Cover tightly and bake for 3 hours at 275\u00b0 or until meat is tender. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 8.
