Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, torn
    1/2 c. each: carrot, celery, green pepper, onion, water chestnuts or any crunchy vegetables you prefer
    2 boxes frozen peas, unthawed
    1/2 pt. mayonnaise
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    4 eggs, boiled and chopped
    2 tomatoes, chopped
    bacon bits
    6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Prepare night before.
    In large bowl, preferably glass, so that layers may be seen, layer vegetables as listed.
    Cover with thin
    layer of mayonnaise sprinkled with sugar and Parmesan cheese.
    Top
    with\teggs, tomatoes, bacon bits and Cheddar cheese. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
