Ingredients

1/2 c. rice
1 qt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon peel, grated
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins
Preparation

Combine rice, milk, sugar and salt.
Pour into buttered 1 to 2-quart baking dish.
Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0, stirring occasionally. Add lemon peel, nutmeg and raisins.
Continue baking for 1 1/2 hours.
Two thirds cup of brown sugar may be substituted for white sugar.
