Chili Rellenos Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 slices white bread
    1/2 stick butter
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 c. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
    6 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried oregano
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Trim crust from bread.
    Spread each bread slice with butter; place bread, buttered side down, in an 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Top with cheeses; sprinkle with chiles.
    Combine eggs and remaining ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well.
    Pour over cheese.
    Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
    Uncover and bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until lightly browned.
    Let casserole stand 10 minutes before serving.
    Makes 6 servings.
