Aplets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Soak gelatin in 1/2 cup applesauce.
    Bring to a boil rest of applesauce, sugar and salt.
    Add to gelatin mixture and boil 15 minutes.
    Remove from stove and add nuts and vanilla.
    Pour into buttered 8 x 8-inch pan and let set for 2 days in refrigerator. Cut in squares and roll in powdered sugar.
