Laverne'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
    Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add them to the creamed mixture with milk. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes in greased and floured tube pan.
    Add 1/2 cup nuts last (flour them), if desired.
