Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
1/2-1 c. nuts, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. anise, optional
1 tsp. amaretto, optional
1 tsp. almond flavoring, optional
Preparation

Blend sugar and oil.
Add eggs and vanilla; stir well.\tStir together salt, baking powder and flour.
Fold into wet mixture. Add nuts.
Shape into 2 logs on lined cookie sheet.
Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove and cool 15 minutes.
Slice into 1/2 inch thick pieces.
Place on cookie sheet and cook on each side for 10 minutes at 325\u00b0.
Can be dipped into melted chocolate.
