Dorothy Shellenbergers Green Bean Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1 c. light cream
    3/4 c. Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. salt or seasoned salt
    3 to 4 pkg. French-cut green beans
    5 oz. sliced water chestnuts
    1/2 c. toasted almonds
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms and onions in butter.
    Add flour; cook until smooth and cream slowly, then add cheese and seasoning.
    Simmer until cheese melts.
