Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium yellow squash, cooked until just tender and drained
    1 large onion, chopped
    8 oz. sour cream
    2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    8 oz. stuffing mix
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter and mix with stuffing mix. Set aside 1/2 cup of mix. Mix all other ingredients together; press all but the 1/2 cup of stuffing mix in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour squash mixture over crust; top with remaining stuffing. Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 8.
