Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. cucumbers, thinly sliced
6 small onions
1/3 c. salt
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 c. vinegar (per gallon)
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
-
Put cucumbers and onions in pan.
Cover with ice.
Put salt on top of ice.
Let set for 3 hours.
Remove ice and rinse lightly.
