Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. applesauce, heated
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 1/2 c. flour (plain)
2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
3 eggs
1 lb. raisins
1 c. nuts

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add applesauce and soda while apples are warm.
Beat in 1 egg at a time; add flour and spices, then add nuts and raisins dredged in 1/2 cup of the flour.
Bake 2 hours in moderate oven (about 315\u00b0).
