German Chocolate Cake With Coconut Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in boiling water. Cool.
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add yolks one at a time; beat after each.
    Blend in vanilla and chocolate.
    Sift flour with soda and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture.
    Beat after each addition until smooth.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Pour in three 9-inch cake pans lined on bottom with paper.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes; cool.
    Frost tops only with Coconut-Pecan Frosting.
