Swedish Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

16 to 18 cardamon seed, peeled and crushed or 1 Tbsp. ground
2 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. warm milk
1 Tbsp. Crisco
1 Tbsp. butter
2 yeast cakes
6 to 8 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 c. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Stir together egg yolks and 3/4 cup sugar.
Melt 2 cups milk, 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon Crisco.
In a separate glass cup, crumble 2 yeast cakes into 1/2 cup lukewarm milk (80\u00b0) and 1/2 teaspoon sugar; let stand 5 minutes.
Add milk to egg mix. Add yeast mixture.
Combine with flour; add gradually until you reach a good dough consistency.
Let raise 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down.
Repeat.
