Granny'S Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
chopped onion (as desired)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil.
Puppies will float when done.
